Ils ne sont pas confortables pour vous asseoir ni tr\u00e8s confortables pour dormir. C\u2019est trop souvent le moins bon des deux mondes. Les constructeurs automobiles ont fait de ses v\u00e9hicules des \u00ab&nbsp;compliance, car&nbsp;\u00bb c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire des mod\u00e8les construits sp\u00e9cifiquement pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 une norme, celle de la Californie. En 2012, le California Air Resource Board (CARB) a oblig\u00e9 les six constructeurs automobiles les plus populaires de l&#8217;\u00c9tat (Honda, GM, Toyota, Nissan, Ford et Chrysler) \u00e0 proposer un v\u00e9hicule \u00e0 z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission en mena\u00e7ant de retirer. \u00c0 d\u00e9faut de se plier \u00e0 cette r\u00e8gle, les compagnies perdraient la possibilit\u00e9 de vendre n&#8217;importe quelle voiture dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<h3>\nD\u2019autres \u00e9tats ont suivi le pas<\/h3>\n<p>Le probl\u00e8me \u00e9tait que les r\u00e8glements n\u2019\u00e9taient pas assez s\u00e9v\u00e8res. L\u2019autonomie des mod\u00e8les propos\u00e9s par les constructeurs \u00e9tait ridicule parce que les \u00e9tats en question avaient fait preuve de laxisme en exigeant une autonomie ridicule qui tournait autour de 20 milles (30&nbsp;km). Les constructeurs automobiles qui ne font jamais mieux que ce qu\u2019on leur demande ont donc fabriqu\u00e9 ces mod\u00e8les qu\u2019ils \u00e9taient \u00ab&nbsp;oblig\u00e9s&nbsp;\u00bb de fabriquer. La fabrication de ces mod\u00e8les en tr\u00e8s petite quantit\u00e9 \u00e0 des prix trop \u00e9lev\u00e9s (sachant tr\u00e8s bien que personne n\u2019allait r\u00e9ellement en faire l\u2019achat) a fait de ces v\u00e9hicules des curiosit\u00e9s. Les concessionnaires ne tenaient pas \u00e0 les vendre, pas plus que les constructeurs.
