Cette marque sud-cor\u00e9enne dont les origines remontent \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 70 ans n\u2019a cess\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre impliqu\u00e9e dans des fusions, des restructurations et des changements de propri\u00e9taire. Apr\u00e8s le Groupe SsangYong, un important conglom\u00e9rat cor\u00e9en qui avait achet\u00e9 Dong-A Motor pour en faire SsangYong Motor, en 1986, la marque a \u00e9t\u00e9 reprise successivement par la cor\u00e9enne Daewoo, la chinoise SAIC, l\u2019indienne Mahindra &amp; Mahindra et, finalement ce mois-ci, la cor\u00e9enne Edison Motors. Dr\u00f4le d\u2019ironie pour une marque dont le nom \u00e9voque deux dragons vivant en harmonie.<\/p>\n<p> Sp\u00e9cialiste des utilitaires de grande diffusion, la marque SsangYong semblait promise \u00e0 un succ\u00e8s assur\u00e9 dans un march\u00e9 mondial qui, depuis trois d\u00e9cennies, a un app\u00e9tit croissant pour ce genre de v\u00e9hicules, surtout l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Mais, depuis sa reprise en 2011 par Mahindra, le num\u00e9ro\u00a02 indien, SsangYong stagne.<br \/> Promesses et espoirs de Mahindra<br \/> \u00c0 la conclusion de l\u2019acquisition, le pr\u00e9sident de Mahindra, Pawan Goenka, clamait haut et fort son d\u00e9sir de faire progresser la marque. Des 113\u00a0001 unit\u00e9s produites en 2011, sa production devrait grimper \u00e0 160\u00a0000 unit\u00e9s d\u00e8s 2013, puis \u00e0 300\u00a0000 en 2016. Cette ann\u00e9e-l\u00e0, on envisageait m\u00eame d\u2019acc\u00e9der au march\u00e9 nord-am\u00e9ricain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Mais, il n\u2019en fut rien.
