Si l\u2019on fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 ce mill\u00e9sime comme un de transition, c\u2019est que les versions\u00a01964 sont \u00e0 la fois boud\u00e9es et recherch\u00e9es par les amateurs\u2009; boud\u00e9es parce qu\u2019elles ne contiennent pas certaines des caract\u00e9ristiques qui ont rendu les Corvette des ann\u00e9es\u00a060 mythiques\u2009; recherch\u00e9es parce que, justement, elles font bande \u00e0 part.<br \/> <strong>1963<\/strong><br \/> Les amateurs discutent encore avec passion et enthousiasme d\u2019une particularit\u00e9 stylistique des mod\u00e8les\u00a01963\u00a0: la fameuse <em>Split Window<\/em>. Inspir\u00e9e des Bugatti de la fin des ann\u00e9es\u00a030, le design de la lunette arri\u00e8re s\u00e9par\u00e9e avait \u00e9t\u00e9 introduit sur le v\u00e9hicule par pur souci d\u2019esth\u00e9tisme, mais a \u00e9t\u00e9 abandonn\u00e9 d\u00e8s 1964. La raison principale\u00a0: les propri\u00e9taires se plaignaient de la faible visibilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p> Imaginez maintenant la valeur d\u2019une \u00e9dition\u00a01963, la seule \u00e0 profiter de cette caract\u00e9ristique.<\/p>\n<p> Le mod\u00e8le\u00a01964 voit aussi dispara\u00eetre une autre sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 relative \u00e0 son style. En effet, les deux prises d\u2019air, enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9coratives, que l\u2019on peut observer sur le capot des\u00a01963, ne sont plus d\u2019office en 1964.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/> <strong>1965<\/strong><br \/> En 1965, la Corvette demeure inchang\u00e9e par rapport \u00e0 1964, mais on assiste \u00e0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e des fameux \u00ab\u2009<em>big block<\/em>\u2009\u00bb sous le capot. Ces moteurs (396 et 427\u00a0pouces cubes) plus imposants livraient, on le devine, plus de puissance.
