En cause : une s\u00e9rie d\u2019incendies chez <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Novelis<\/span><\/span>, principal fournisseur d\u2019aluminium de <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ford Motor Company<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1jzovuj\" data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"972\">Trois incendies qui perturbent toute la cha\u00eene<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1224\">Au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, trois incendies distincts ont frapp\u00e9 des installations de Novelis sur une p\u00e9riode de deux mois. R\u00e9sultat : une production d\u2019aluminium fortement perturb\u00e9e, toujours pas revenue \u00e0 pleine capacit\u00e9 plus de six mois plus tard. Or, la carrosserie du F-150 repose largement sur l\u2019aluminium \u2014 un choix strat\u00e9gique qui permet de r\u00e9duire le poids et la consommation, mais qui rend aussi Ford extr\u00eamement d\u00e9pendant de cette ressource.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"168t5cj\" data-start=\"1434\" data-end=\"1489\">Inventaires en chute libre chez les concessionnaires<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1653\">Les effets sont imm\u00e9diats sur le terrain. Selon <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Automotive News<\/span><\/span>, certains concessionnaires ont vu leurs stocks fondre de fa\u00e7on spectaculaire. Un exemple frappant : un d\u00e9taillant est pass\u00e9 d\u2019environ 700 unit\u00e9s en inventaire durant la p\u00e9riode promotionnelle \u00ab Truck Month \u00bb \u00e0 seulement\u2026 neuf camions. Pour compenser le manque d\u2019approvisionnement local, le constructeur doit importer de l\u2019aluminium. Probl\u00e8me : ce m\u00e9tal est frapp\u00e9 d\u2019un tarif de 50 %, ce qui fait exploser les co\u00fbts de production. L\u2019un des grands avantages de Ford \u2014 une disponibilit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure \u2014 s\u2019est \u00e9vapor\u00e9. Ford vise n\u00e9anmoins un retour \u00e0 la normale au second semestre, misant sur une reprise compl\u00e8te des op\u00e9rations chez Novelis. Le choix de l\u2019aluminium, introduit massivement en 2015, a donn\u00e9 au F-150 une avance en mati\u00e8re d\u2019efficacit\u00e9. Mais aujourd\u2019hui, cette d\u00e9pendance expose Ford \u00e0 des risques importants en cas de rupture d\u2019approvisionnement. \u00c0 court terme, Ford devrait conserver son titre de camion le plus vendu.
