Cette d\u00e9cision vise \u00e0 freiner les pertes financi\u00e8res d\u2019un march\u00e9 du v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique qui, selon Ford, n\u2019a jamais atteint l\u2019ampleur anticip\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1081\">Une facture de pr\u00e8s de 20 milliards de dollars<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1083\" data-end=\"1501\">Ford a confirm\u00e9 le 15 d\u00e9cembre que ce changement de cap entra\u00eenera des co\u00fbts d\u2019environ 19,5 milliards $ US, principalement comptabilis\u00e9s sous forme de charges sp\u00e9ciales au quatri\u00e8me trimestre. Plut\u00f4t que de d\u00e9velopper une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration du Lightning \u00e0 BlueOval City, au Tennessee, Ford transformera le concept en v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique \u00e0 autonomie prolong\u00e9e, assembl\u00e9 au Michigan.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2223\">BlueOval City change de vocation<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2225\" data-end=\"2531\">Initialement destin\u00e9 \u00e0 devenir, d\u00e8s 2028, le site industriel le plus vaste et le plus avanc\u00e9 de Ford, BlueOval City produira finalement des camions \u00e0 essence abordables \u00e0 partir de 2029. Rebaptis\u00e9e <em data-start=\"2431\" data-end=\"2454\">Tennessee Truck Plant<\/em>, l\u2019usine fabriquera un mod\u00e8le in\u00e9dit dans la gamme actuelle du constructeur. Environ 2 100 emplois seront cr\u00e9\u00e9s dans une usine de batteries au Kentucky, d\u00e9sormais d\u00e9tenue \u00e0 100 % par une filiale de Ford apr\u00e8s la fin d\u2019un partenariat avec SK On.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3204\" data-end=\"3254\">Le stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie devient un nouveau pilier<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3256\" data-end=\"3510\">Ford investira environ 2 milliards $ US pour convertir l\u2019usine du Kentucky afin de produire des cellules lithium-fer-phosphate, des modules de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie et des syst\u00e8mes conteneuris\u00e9s de 20 pieds destin\u00e9s notamment aux centres de donn\u00e9es. D\u2019ici 2030, environ 50 % de ses volumes mondiaux devraient provenir de v\u00e9hicules hybrides, \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 autonomie prolong\u00e9e ou enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectriques, comparativement \u00e0 17 % aujourd\u2019hui.
