General Motors et Allison Transmission mettront un terme \u00e0 leur partenariat \u00e0 la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2025, apr\u00e8s des d\u00e9cennies de collaboration. \u00c0 compter du 1er janvier 2026, les Chevrolet Silverado HD et GMC Sierra HD ne porteront plus le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00e9cusson Allison Transmission sur leurs ailes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un divorce de licence, pas de m\u00e9canique<\/strong><br \/>\nSelon GM, la rupture d\u00e9coule d\u2019un d\u00e9saccord sur le renouvellement de la licence d\u2019utilisation du nom Allison. Ce changement, toutefois, n\u2019affectera pas les produits eux-m\u00eames : les bo\u00eetes automatiques \u00e0 10 rapports qui \u00e9quipent les camions 2500 et 3500 resteront les m\u00eames. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, GM fabrique d\u00e9j\u00e0 ces transmissions depuis 2018. Le nom Allison n\u2019\u00e9tait qu\u2019une entente de licence de marque, car la conception et la production provenaient de GM, m\u00eame si Allison avait valid\u00e9 le design \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque. Apr\u00e8s le 31 d\u00e9cembre 2025, ceux-ci auront 180 jours \u2014 jusqu\u2019au 29 juin 2026 \u2014 pour \u00e9couler les v\u00e9hicules arborant encore le logo Allison. Pass\u00e9 ce d\u00e9lai, GM exige que toutes les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences \u00e0 Allison soient retir\u00e9es. Les camions encore en inventaire devront m\u00eame voir leur logo remplac\u00e9 par un \u00e9cusson non-Allison avant le 29 juin 2026. Une op\u00e9ration logistique consid\u00e9rable \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du r\u00e9seau.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aucune incidence sur la performance<\/strong><br \/>\nLa transmission et les performances des camions ne changent pas : il s\u2019agit de la m\u00eame bo\u00eete \u00e0 10 vitesses qu\u2019auparavant. En clair, seule la marque \u00e9volue. Ces transmissions robustes ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 b\u00e2tir la r\u00e9putation des camions GM aupr\u00e8s des travailleurs et des remorqueurs.<\/p>\n<p>De 2001 \u00e0 2018, les moteurs Duramax LB7, LBZ, LLY, LMM, LML et L5P (g\u00e9n\u00e9ration 1) ont tous \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9s avec une bo\u00eete Allison con\u00e7ue et assembl\u00e9e par la firme sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e. Depuis 2019, les moteurs Duramax L5P Gen 2 utilisent la bo\u00eete 10 vitesses d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par GM, mais toujours vendue sous l\u2019appellation Allison \u2014 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un symbole de robustesse qui tire sa r\u00e9v\u00e9rence<\/strong><br \/>\nM\u00eame si le logo Allison dispara\u00eet des ailes des Silverado et Sierra HD, la technologie et la fiabilit\u00e9 qui ont b\u00e2ti cette r\u00e9putation demeurent.
