Cadillac pr\u00e9voit de cesser la production de sa berline compacte CT4 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2026, tout en pr\u00e9parant une seconde g\u00e9n\u00e9ration pour la CT5, sa berline interm\u00e9diaire.<\/p>\n<p>Cette d\u00e9cision prolonge donc la production de v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 essence \u00e0 l\u2019usine Lansing Grand River, au Michigan, un site qui devait initialement accueillir des mod\u00e8les \u00e9lectriques de GM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La CT4 tire sa r\u00e9v\u00e9rence, la CT5 poursuit son chemin<\/strong><br \/>\nSelon Cadillac, la production de la CT4 se poursuivra jusqu\u2019en juin 2026, tandis que celle de l\u2019actuelle CT5 se maintiendra jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin de cette m\u00eame ann\u00e9e. Rappelons que le mod\u00e8le actuel a d\u00e9j\u00e0 b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019un rafra\u00eechissement pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e-mod\u00e8le 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un investissement de 1,25 milliard de dollars \u00e0 Lansing Grand River<\/strong><br \/>\nDans le cadre de son entente de 2023 avec le syndicat UAW, GM s\u2019est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 investir 1,25 milliard de dollars am\u00e9ricains dans l\u2019usine de Lansing Grand River. Initialement, cette somme devait soutenir la conversion du site vers la production de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques.<\/p>\n<p>Le d\u00e9partement de l\u2019\u00c9nergie des \u00c9tats-Unis avait d\u2019ailleurs approuv\u00e9 un financement de 500 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains pour appuyer cette transformation. Or, ce financement figurerait aujourd\u2019hui sur une liste de subventions que l\u2019administration Trump envisagerait d\u2019annuler, bien que le D\u00e9partement n&#8217;ait pas confirm\u00e9 cette information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GM maintient le cap malgr\u00e9 les incertitudes<\/strong><br \/>\nMalgr\u00e9 cette possible perte de financement, GM affirme poursuivre son investissement au Michigan. \u00ab La fin de la production actuelle permettra \u00e0 GM d\u2019entreprendre d\u2019importants travaux de r\u00e9novation et d\u2019am\u00e9lioration dans le cadre de son investissement de 1,25 milliard de dollars am\u00e9ricains \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 un porte-parole du constructeur.<\/p>\n<p>Ces am\u00e9liorations incluront une modernisation compl\u00e8te de l\u2019atelier de peinture, de nouveaux convoyeurs, des mises \u00e0 jour des syst\u00e8mes de contr\u00f4le, ainsi que des \u00e9quipements de soudage et d\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 la fine pointe de la technologie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Une transition \u00e9lectrique repouss\u00e9e<\/strong><br \/>\nCe prolongement de la production \u00e0 essence d\u00e9montre que Cadillac \u2014 tout comme plusieurs marques de GM \u2014 ralentit sa transition vers l\u2019\u00e9lectrification compl\u00e8te de sa gamme.
