Washington a mis fin \u00e0 l\u2019application active des normes d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique pour les v\u00e9hicules, r\u00e9troactivement depuis l\u2019ann\u00e9e-mod\u00e8le 2022. R\u00e9sultat : les constructeurs am\u00e9ricains ne seront plus sanctionn\u00e9s pour avoir vendu des v\u00e9hicules moins \u00e9conomes en carburant.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1421\">Selon la <strong data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1174\">National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)<\/strong>, aucune p\u00e9nalit\u00e9 ne sera impos\u00e9e pour les ann\u00e9es-mod\u00e8les 2022 \u00e0 2025. Bien que les r\u00e8gles CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) restent officiellement en vigueur, leur non-application \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 un feu vert pour des motorisations plus gourmandes. D\u00e9j\u00e0, des g\u00e9ants comme <strong data-start=\"1446\" data-end=\"1460\">Stellantis<\/strong> ont remis en production leurs moteurs V8 Hemi, suscitant un engouement marqu\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s des amateurs de performance, tandis que la division SRT rena\u00eet de ses cendres. Cette volte-face pourrait renverser les gains obtenus ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019adoption de plus petits moteurs turbocompress\u00e9s, notamment dans les VUS interm\u00e9diaires, les camions et les sportives.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1861\">Le Canada en terrain glissant<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"2345\">Le Canada, qui harmonise g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement ses normes avec celles des \u00c9tats-Unis, pourrait se retrouver isol\u00e9. Sans pression r\u00e9glementaire au sud de la fronti\u00e8re, les constructeurs risquent de n\u00e9gliger les objectifs canadiens, voire de retirer certains mod\u00e8les plus verts du march\u00e9 canadien. \u00ab Le Canada repr\u00e9sente un petit march\u00e9 par rapport aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Si ce n\u2019est pas rentable d\u2019y offrir des mod\u00e8les sobres, ils ne viendront tout simplement pas \u00bb, avertissent plusieurs analystes.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2347\" data-end=\"2374\">L\u2019Europe comme solution?<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2376\" data-end=\"2768\">En r\u00e9action, des voix s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8vent pour permettre <strong data-start=\"2423\" data-end=\"2471\">l\u2019importation directe de v\u00e9hicules europ\u00e9ens<\/strong>, notamment des V\u00c9, hybrides et hybrides rechargeables non homologu\u00e9s ici. <strong data-start=\"2546\" data-end=\"2563\">Daniel Breton<\/strong>, pr\u00e9sident de Mobilit\u00e9 \u00c9lectrique Canada, insiste : \u00ab Si une voiture est jug\u00e9e s\u00e9curitaire pour rouler \u00e0 180 km\/h en Allemagne, ne venez pas me dire qu\u2019elle est trop risqu\u00e9e pour les routes canadiennes. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2770\" data-end=\"2986\"><strong data-start=\"2770\" data-end=\"2790\">Transport Canada<\/strong>, de son c\u00f4t\u00e9, reste frileux.
