Le Vieux Continent a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de leur accorder un peu de lest pour atteindre ses objectifs de vente de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques. Le Parlement europ\u00e9en a indiqu\u00e9 la semaine derni\u00e8re qu\u2019il compte approuver un assouplissement des objectifs d\u2019\u00e9missions de CO2 des v\u00e9hicules, ce qui donnera aux constructeurs automobiles trois ans de plus que pr\u00e9vu pour respecter les mandats et \u00e9viter des amendes punitives.<\/p>\n<h3>Les r\u00e9percussions chez nous<\/h3>\n<p>\nLe gouvernement du Qu\u00e9bec risque de devoir suivre \u00e7a de pr\u00e8s, puisqu\u2019ici aussi des repr\u00e9sentants de l\u2019industrie automobile demandent de repousser ou de diluer les cibles transitoires impos\u00e9es \u00e0 partir de 2030 et jusqu\u2019en 2035.<\/p>\n<h3>Le plan Europ\u00e9en<\/h3>\n<p>\nReuters rapporte que cette proposition, qui est en voie d\u2019approbation parlementaire acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e, a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par la Commission europ\u00e9enne \u00e0 la suite \u00abd\u2019\u00e9normes pressions\u00bb exerc\u00e9es par les constructeurs d\u2019automobiles europ\u00e9ens. Leurs dirigeants affirment que les amendes annuelles actuellement impos\u00e9es pourraient contraindre un certain nombre d\u2019entre eux \u00e0 la faillite.<\/p>\n<p>Selon le nouveau plan, en retardant l\u2019imposition d\u2019objectifs de v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission, l\u2019industrie a une meilleure chance de restructurer ses strat\u00e9gies de production dans le but de persuader davantage de consommateurs de passer aux v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie.<\/p>\n<p>Il est aussi envisag\u00e9 par l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne d\u2019apporter un soutien accru \u00e0 ses constructeurs nationaux qui sont confront\u00e9s \u00e0 la concurrence f\u00e9roce des constructeurs chinois.
