Voil\u00e0 qu\u2019une autre demande de brevet \u2013 probablement plus s\u00e9rieuse, celle-l\u00e0 \u2013 porte sur une forme de moteur pour v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques qui rappelle dr\u00f4lement le prototype du moteur-roue d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec il y a une trentaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari a effectivement d\u00e9pos\u00e9 une demande aupr\u00e8s du Bureau am\u00e9ricain des brevets, l\u2019USPTO, pour un moteur-roue log\u00e9 essentiellement dans la jante \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du pneu. Cette configuration aurait comme avantage de d\u00e9gager beaucoup d\u2019espace, puisqu\u2019on \u00e9limine l\u2019espace-moteur sous la carrosserie. On peut aussi mieux r\u00e9gler la distribution de la puissance entre les diff\u00e9rentes roues motrices du v\u00e9hicule, qu\u2019il y en ait deux ou quatre.<\/p>\n<p>Le concept pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par Ferrari est celui d\u2019un moteur \u00e0 courant alternatif, \u00e0 aimant permanent sans balai. La partie centrale du moteur s\u2019attache \u00e0 l\u2019essieu, alors que le rotor, qui tourne autour de cet \u00e9l\u00e9ment, serait essentiellement attach\u00e9 \u00e0 la jante de la roue, qui soutient le pneu. Quand tout \u00e7a est anim\u00e9, le rotor tourne et entra\u00eene la roue, ce qui d\u00e9place le v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari voit plein d\u2019avantages \u00e0 ce type de moteurs, mais note deux inconv\u00e9nients\u00a0: d\u2019abord, \u00e9quiper une voiture de quatre moteurs-roues pourrait co\u00fbter plus cher que de l\u2019\u00e9quiper d\u2019un ou de deux moteurs log\u00e9s sur les essieux, comme on voit ailleurs dans l\u2019industrie. Ensuite, ces moteurs offriraient un comportement routier un peu plus rude. Ferrari pense qu\u2019il est possible de minimiser cette caract\u00e9ristique en r\u00e9glant la suspension de fa\u00e7on cons\u00e9quente.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari ne dit pas si elle planifie commercialiser une voiture anim\u00e9e par des moteurs-roues comme ceux-l\u00e0.
