Si c\u2019est elle qui a failli faire de cette technologie une r\u00e9alit\u00e9, on parle d\u2019un projet qui s\u2019est \u00e9tendu sur un quart de si\u00e8cle chez Chrysler.<\/p>\n<p> La derni\u00e8re tentative a pris la forme du concept Chrysler LeBaron Turbine, introduit en 1977. C\u2019est peut-\u00eatre le mod\u00e8le le moins connu du projet. En voici un peu plus sur lui, apr\u00e8s avoir fait le tour de l\u2019historique ayant men\u00e9 \u00e0 sa cr\u00e9ation.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Les ann\u00e9es\u00a050 et 60<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> C\u2019est dans les ann\u00e9es\u00a050 que na\u00eet le projet d\u2019un moteur turbine chez Chrysler. On voit le potentiel de ce type de mode de propulsion, notamment le fait que moins de pi\u00e8ces sont n\u00e9cessaires pour le composer et qu\u2019il fonctionne gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la rotation de ses \u00e9l\u00e9ments et non gr\u00e2ce aux contacts nombreux entre des pi\u00e8ces en mouvement. Et un des avantages que proposait le moteur turbine, c\u2019est qu\u2019il pouvait fonctionner avec diff\u00e9rents types de carburant. Chrysler a d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9 de l\u2019huile v\u00e9g\u00e9tale, de l\u2019alcool, de l\u2019huile de beurre d\u2019arachides\u2026 et m\u00eame de la Tequila.<\/p>\n<p> On misait \u00e9galement sur sa douceur et sa grande durabilit\u00e9. L\u2019objectif \u00e9tait \u00e9ventuellement d\u2019offrir une solution de rechange au traditionnel moteur \u00e0 combustion.<\/p>\n<p> Diff\u00e9rents prototypes seront construits, diff\u00e9rents p\u00e9pins seront r\u00e9gl\u00e9s. L\u2019effort ultime survient en 1963 alors que Chrysler fabrique 55\u00a0mod\u00e8les.
